After confirming the MRES switch for 5 seconds, the assembly will be deleted.
ETH1: 192.168.0.90; ETH2: 192.168.1.90
ETH3: 192.168.2.90; ETH4: 192.168.3.90
A network connection can be established at ETH1…ETH4 for the respective internal CP.

A lot of visualization systems have standard driver with which data can be read and written by S7 and S5 PLCs.
The following standard protocols are supported in this:
With the S7 connection (OPC connection) you can access on the S5 data via Offset 40000. The most systems support the variable addresses larger 40000.
Example:
S5-Data | Access via S7 |
MW10 | MW40010 |
Z5 | Z40005 |
SD308 | MD41308 |
DB30 DW40 | DB40030.DBW80 |
DW4 DW3 | DB41004.DBW6 |
Example with WinCC Basic-Panel:
Create a new project and add an HMI panel (eg. KTP1000 Basic Color PN).
Afterwards a connection in the WinCC project must be added.
Add S7-and S5 variables to the project. Please use the 40000 offset when accessing S5 data. (see mixed operation)
In this example S5 and S7 data are accessed.
Add input fields to the basic image. Afterwards assign the fields to the HMI-variables.
Following you can start your simulation. The sample project can be found in the download area under Samples.
If the X-CPU is used in a TIA environment, the following parameters of the CPU must be observed whether they are set the same as those in HW Config TIA:
Example: HW config of TIA
For m57 abd c57
Configured start parameters in cmdline.txt
For w57
Setting parameters at start of the software
The ABC X-CPU-2 can be ordered in a mixed mode S7/S5 variant. For 115U systems this ist the ABC X-CPU-2 PLC 416/945. For 135/155U und 150U – systems this is the ABC X-CPU-2 PLC 416/948.
In the mixed operation S5 and S7 programms can be edited in one term.
In our download area you can find a video showing the mixed operation.

In the ABC X-CPU-2 CPU416/945 and the CPU416/948 primarily the S7 Software runs.
In mixed operation the S5 Obs (OB1, OB10…, OB20,…) are not called. The corresponding calls: cyclic processing, time interrupts and run-up must be carried out from the S7 range.
A template for the mixed mode you can see from the samples. The samples are supplied or you have the possibility to download in our download area at www.abcit.eu
S5 programs / modules must be called with special calls (see conventions).
Access in S7 to S5-data areas are realized with Offset 40000 (see conventions).
The ABC X-CPU-systems feature us-Timer, which can be started under STEP 5 (with the FB252) and STEP 7 (with the SFC252) in a simple manner (synchronized) and consequently can be queried several times.
As a result you get the elapsed time since the last synchronization.
The STEP7 – program is a component of our sample library and is here for download:

ABC X-CPU-2 CPs (ETH1…ETH4) must be in different subnets
The X-CPU-2 has four independent CPs (ETH1…ETH4), that are responsible for communication and visualization.
The four internal CPs (ETH1…ETH4) must be logically in different subnets.
eG.: The following configuration is among others inadmissible.
or:
Such settings lead to connection problems with the ABC X-CPU-2
w57 with variant I-10, NET-1: | With this dongle you can run up to 10 instances simultaneously on one PC. |
w57 with variant NET 10: | This dongle can be placed in any PC with a USB slot in the network. You can run up to 10 instances on different PCs. It does not have to be integrated directly into the server! |
The X-CPU-4 w57 has four independent CPs (ETH1…ETH4), which are available for communication and visualisation.
The four internal CPs (ETH1…ETH4) are set by default as follows:
If the desired IP address is ETH1, e.g. 192.168.0.110, please open “Shortcut Properties” and enter the IP address in “Target”.
The configuration of the new IP address is done.
